Entertaining people

"Some people might think I have a pretty easy life but it's actually tough work being a baby. When my parents take me out, I have to go the extra mile to put on a good show. Here I'm entertaining everyone by riding this giraffe imported from Africa!"

"I had a lovely time at the Showerheads' house. Here I am with some lovely Aunties."
"I amuse my daddy by letting him copy my actions. What a silly game."
"Oh dear! This time, I'm entertaining myself...."

"Well...whether you are a baby, toddler, kid, teenager, young adult, or adult, it's important to enjoy whatever your job is and whatever you are meant to be. Do everything with joy! Baby sushi signing out!"

"Gong hai fat choy! It's so cool how I can put my hands together now."
"Rainy days make me sleepy. Time for a nap!"

"A beautiful sight in Steveston! Hey, daddy's hair is as crazy as mine. It must be genetic!"

"What a gorgeous day for a walk! Grandpa and grandma left on Sunday. I'll miss them. I hope they come back soon!"

"I got this cool book with lots of Mandarin songs in it. I can listen to the CD and follow along in the book. "

"Gee, adult beds are so comfy. How come I don't get to sleep in one of these?"

"Bye for now. Hope to see you soon!"

"Yippee! My grandpa and grandma arrived yesterday from Taiwan. They'll be staying with us for a week before heading to Toronto. I got some fabulous new Chinese books!"

"My other grandma holds me in a fabulous position and I love it!"

"My daddy says that I'm doing a fabulous job in holding the bottle."

"After a fabulous time playing, it's time for me and my fabulous dog to take a nap."

:Life's Little Luxuries

"I've decided to start counting my blessings every day. You can never be too thankful for life's little luxuries."

"It stopped raining so we went out for a walk on Saturday. Thank God for the sunshine and fresh air!"

"Playing in my exersaucer is a lot of fun. Who's that blue guy staring at me?"

"There's nothing like down time in front of the TV. Nobody to fight with me over the remote control.

"I lead my Godparents in a game of 'Simon says'. They did pretty well."

"Thank God for free time."
"Auntie Strawberry cuddles me nice and close. Thank God for arms and warm hands."

"Auntie Genie holds me while I sleep. Ah...thank God for power naps!"

Three-month old Smilin' Sushi

"In the first three months of my life, I have learned a lot! I've doubled my birthweight and grown ten centimetres in length! I am able to drink much faster and eat more at a time. Instead of 7-8 feeding times a day, I only feed 4-5 times much to the delight of my mommy. I also sleep longer which helps me get smarter (that's what my parents tell me.) Every day I take three naps and then I sleep about ten hours during the night. My parents wake me up in the morning and I can't help to smile when I see their bright funny faces."

"Here are my parents. See, aren't they funny-looking?"

"Let me introduce you to my Godparents. I don't really know what Godparents are but they come and visit me every week. They bring yummy food for my parents and smile and laugh a lot! I hope they babysit me soon. I really want the guy with the cool hair to change my diaper...."

"From my bouncy chair, I usually watch my parents sing silly songs and do funny actions. I also entertain myself in it when my parents are eating."

"My grandpa's really cool. He talks in a really high voice which is kinda funny cause I think he's a boy and his voice should be lower."

"See you later! Keep smiling! Smiles are contagious and they're free!"

Happy New Year!

Wishing you God's peace, joy and love in 2006!
May you reach higher heights!

This past Christmas season, we were blessed to have lots of family in town. Momma Cashew, Cousin Cashew, Spidey and Grandma K from Seattle, Uncle T from New York and Uncle Jushi from Toronto! Nine people and two babies sure ate a lot of food! The week went by quickly and now everything is back to normal.

Holding a baby doesn't stop Pushi from playing video games.

Uncle Jushi sure slept a lot! Most mornings, the baby alarm was used to wake him up.

On New Year's Eve, Pushi, Mushi, Jushi and Sushi went out for dinner with friends before ringing in the new year with the rest of the family. We give thanks to God for His love and protection this past year. With God as our rock in an uncertain world, we confidently take on any challenges that 2006 might bring!

Week Ten Milestone: Heads Up

Wow, kids do have tricks up their sleeves. Sushi surprised Mushi and I by lifting her head and keeping it up long enough for her excited parents to get the camera, take pictures, get the video camera, and take clips. I guess she decided tonight that she wanted to broaden her visual field which was limited to just the left and right side of her.

"What are you guys looking at? "
"Show's over, good night."
