Watershed Creek Fish Release

Come on Ama, the salmon fry are waiting for us...

Why, thank you. This stick will come in handy, I'm sure.

Here are the little fishies. Time to release them into the creek. Too bad only 5% of them will make it to the ocean...

Here is my fish impersonation and the fish that I get to take home.

Just checking the depth of the water before I attempt to cross on this log.

Lead me home with the stick Ama. The walk back to our car seemed much longer than the way there...being in the great outdoors sure tires me out!

Lily Point Marine Reserve

To make our trip to get gas at Point Roberts even more worth it, we decided to see what else this US city has to offer.

Wasabi did very well hiking the trails.

He took on the role of our tour guide and enthusiastically pointed out the various types of trees and birds.

Sushi was very patient as he talked on and on, acting like he knew everything.

We all managed to keep up with our leader.
"That's enough Wasabi, I'm taking over!"
"Go ahead sista! Let's see what you got!"
"Over here, we can look for sea snails and clams."

"Oh ya? I think we should take a moment to take in the fresh ocean air."

"Enough you two, check out this cool rock. What do you think it looks like?"

It's always a party...

Partying at the Showerhead's is so much fun!

Am I cool or what?

Thanks for allowing us to come over uninvited Auntie Showerhead!

Does this wagon have a weight limit? We've got over 90 pounds of precious cargo!

The more the merrier!
"Okay....photo session is over...let's get out of here!"

Visitor

Uncle Fly Lice is here for the weekend!
No trip to Vancouver is complete without some all-you-can-eat sushi.

Since Wasabi ate a little too much, I brought him to the park to walk some food off.

I'm blue!

I wonder if this plane will take me to Montreal...we miss you daddy!

Welcome home, Grandma

Grandma is home. Yeah... she is trying to get back to baby-sitting shape.

Wasabi: "yeah... Qwai-Qwai crackers from Taiwan."

Sushi: "oh no, having a stomach ache from having too many Qwai-Qwai crackers partying in my tummy."

Just a day of fun

Sunday is Sushi favourite day of the week.

Wasabi is being a nosey third wheel.

Wasabi and the telephone from the stone age.
Having fun on a see saw. Mommy is working hard to send Wasabi up to the moon.

Here is a sand castle for our princess Sushi.

Eventful birthday

Wasabi: "Happy 33 daddy!! I try to smile for you, but I don't feel too good...."

"poor di di is sick and he is at the hospital with daddy. I am going to visit him with my care basket!!"

"oh, di di is all wired up. I did not know that clothes are optional in hospitals."

Wasabi: "hospital food is not so bad after all."

"hmmm... I retract my previous comment."

"THANK YOU EVERYONE for your caring concerns and the help you've given to mommy and daddy. I am back to my old goofy self."

Happy Cashew Time

"I really really like it when my cousins visit!!!!"

"me too!! I don't mind playing with girls."

"We scoot around on our bums to clean grandma's new hardwood floor."

"We watched mei mei do her acrobatic moves."

"We celebrated daddy and A-Yee's upcoming birthdays. " (btw, daddy's wet spot is from bathing us and not from lactating."

Why does daddy look so upset after a fun day?.

Take a closer look!! Daddy needs a pair of new glasses. Courtesy of Wasabi's tempermental karate chop.

Papaya Milk

"Mommy taught me how to make a papaya milk. First, I put the papaya into the blender. Hmm... it's finger licking good. "
"Then I added an extraordinary amount of honey because I am sweet!!"
"Let the machine do it's work...grrrrh... very loud."

"Hmm... yummy."

"My very first happy guinea pig..hm, I mean my first very happy customer."
