Super Sunday double header part two: Insectarium

We made a short 10 min trek from the Biodome to the Insectarium. The pretty butterflies were the only pretty things here.

Hmm... here was a cobra looking dangerous.

Here were some big, juicy cockroaches.

Daddy and I discovered that we weigh the same as 3.25 million ants. You need to eat more, daddy.

this was 95th attempt at family photo.

"No, Mommy, it's over...." cried Wasabi at the end of our super Sunday.

La fete des enfants de Montreal part un: Festivals

Yes, a kid festival that's free!!!!! Got to slap on the SPF50 and start having some fun.

we watched Moppi, some doggy dancing singing show. we didn't understand a word they were saying, but we did know the person inside the doggy suit was overheating.

A-ma helped Di di do some crafts.

Sushi put together pretty bracelets.

Sushi danced with beautiful East Indian princesses surrounding a Taiwanese grandma Queen.

Then we had a picnic to refuel our bodies.

Sushi took a washroom break to relieve her body.

We were right back at it. A little driving around the mini track. Wasabi picked a nice car, and had trouble letting it go.
I don't blame you, son. Daddy likes nice cars, too.

Sushi's scenic drive included a milk stop.

After checking out the nice pool and waterpark, we were ready to head down to the BioSphere museum. Lots of people here!!!

La fete des enfants de Montreal part Deux: biosphere, the environment musee

We were welcomed by nice cool AC inside the bioshpere museum. We wasted no time to get our hands wet.
We learned about waterlock.

We recognized our pollution problems.
We did some eco tourism. Sushi was at Lake Michigan.
we did some climbing,
..and so did A-ma.

the museum is designed for all ages. grandma had a great time here.

Poutine

TV says grease and fat are bad for you.

Wasabi: "Daddy, please don't feed me cholesterol..."

30 seconds later...

"Ooo... why are my salivary glands screaming BINGO..."

"yumm..."

"I can't stop. hit me again with another bite."

Dr. Sushi: Cholesterol+Grease+Fat = Good tasting Poutine sustaining for 24hrs.

Parc Royal

we went picnicking at Parc Royal, a cute mountain park.

I am counting the tapoles and floating garbage on the lake.

There is an artistic play ground where a cute squirral came and ate our goldfish.

first attempt at taking a family photo for the day.

20th attempt at taking a family photo for the day.

Conclusion: no more family photos.

all about preparation

To have fun in stormy weather, we must be prepared.

Case in point, a rain coat keeps me dry and smiling.

Wasabi, you see, with proper boots, I never had to wonder why my toes are wet.

Hmm... dear young brother, you've got the right concept, but wrong equipment.
Who cares, sun is out now, let's party!!!

Lac St.Louis

A short walk away from our house is a path that leads all the way to downtown Montreal. Meet my new baby that has joined us on this adventure.

Today we search for a beacon of light ...

"Did someone die there? How scary!"

Perhaps this fancy boat is the answer...

"Oh my, a giant sea monster! Not to worry, I'll protect you!"

"I changed my mind... run for your life!"

"Aha! Here it is! We've found it at last!
Bye for now!"

The big move

Wasabi: " yeah, I get to be on a "Fei-Gee" with daddy this time instead of saying bye to him."

Sushi: "Onboard TV.... Backyardigans."

Wow

The high altitude made Wasabi a little constipated.

Here is daddy with two carts full of luggage.

... and here are two more.

Finally, we made it across the country. BTW, the house with a nice front yard is the wrong house.

Sushi is jumping for joy for the safe journey.
