Taiwanese Cultural Festival

Mei-mei gets some nourishment before the big outing.
We took a bus from the parking lot to the Plaza of Nations. No car seats....yahoo!

We made it...four adults and three kids...whew!

Note...this will be the last time you see my straw hat as it would soon magically disappear...never to be seen again.

Cashew's parents went to a retreat all day so she hung out with the Sushi family!


After church, we both took a short nap and then enjoyed some apple popsicles! Yummy!
Soon it was time for a bath! We had a splashing time in the jacuzzi!

Reading time....I'll read this book first and then we'll trade okay?

Labour Day Weekend Fun

Guess who is in town?

The Cashew family came for a visit this long weekend. Cashew slept here in the room next to my room.

We ended our Seattle trip with a visit to one of our favourite places!

Cashew went on her own but Sushi still needs some company.

After 45 minutes of bouncing, Sushi slept for the entire 2 hour ride home!

A Merry Go Round!
What a whirlwind of fun!

Fun-filled day!

We started off the day at the PNE with our out of town friends. It's been a year and a half since I saw my pal.
He made me blush by holding my hand on the haystack. I hope daddy doesn't get mad at me...

I wanted to ride the roller coaster but I'm just slightly under 36 inches tall. Maybe next year!
We tried to look for some rides which were more our size...
Back to the good 'ol inflatables! One slide for one ticket!
Three tickets for four minutes! Better jump as much as I can!
Then we were off to the Showerheads place for a quick reunion of old friends.
After that, it was off to Port Moody to check out the Tang's newly renovated home. Very nice!

The best part of the evening was when I got to ride on this dog.

What a fun-filled day!

Grandma's Garden

We reaped the benefits of all of grandma's hard work today. While grandma is in Taiwan, our goal is to keep her vegetables alive!
The tomatos are growing well...
We picked one cucumber and three precious cherry tomatoes!
I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet organic cherry tomato. More?
The fig tree is also bearing fruit! Too bad the only person that will eat them is mommy. Anyone else want to try them? They are just not my thing...
